Hug Of Thunder is to be released on July 7th. Broken Social Scene have released the video for 'Vanity Pail Kids' as a precursor to the upcoming album which will drop via Arts & Crafts Records.
Their sound has been described as "baroque pop" and combines elements of grand orchestrations featuring guitars, horns, woodwinds, and violins, unusual song structures, and an experimental, and sometimes chaotic production style from David Newfeld, who produced their second and third albums.
